Pawsperity opened its doors in January 2016 as the countryโ€™s only nonprofit grooming school. Our mission is to empower families to become self-reliant through job training, life skills, and practical solutions to end their cycle of poverty.ย 
Position Purpose:
The Part-Time Receptionist supports the Grooming School and is responsible for ensuring a positive customer service experience and smooth interactions.
The scheduled hours are Monday โ€“ Friday 8:00am โ€“ 12:00pm.
Essential Responsibilities include:
ย Reception Duties
โ€ข Greet and check in/out clients and their dogs in a professional and friendly manner.
โ€ข Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage appointment scheduling.
โ€ข Handle payments, invoices, and maintain accurate records of services rendered.
โ€ข Provide information to clients about services, pricing, and policies.
โ€ข Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and effectively.
โ€ข Ensure the front desk, waiting area, and kennel spaces are tidy, welcoming, and well-maintained.
โ€ข Assist with the opening and closing procedures of the facility.
Customer Service
โ€ข Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
โ€ข Update pet owners on their dogโ€™s experience, behavior, and any notable incidents during their stay.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience working as a groomer or at an animal care facility, preferably with dogs
  • Understanding of different dog breeds and breed standard trims
  • Experience with scheduling/reception
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using Gingr software, preferred
  • Multi-tasking with strong time management skills
