PART TIME NURSE PRACTITIONER JOB DESCRIPTION

Clinica Colorado is a nonprofit, safety-net primary care clinic dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable healthcare to uninsured and underinsured individuals, with a focus on Spanish-speaking patients. We practice team-based, culturally competent care in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a bilingual Family Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient team on a part-time or full time
basis. This role is ideal for a compassionate provider who thrives in a mission-driven, team-oriented setting.

Days available:
all

Shifts: 10 hr shifts (1-3 part time)

Clinic hours:
Monday Friday, 7:00 AM5:30 PM

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, bilingual (English/Spanish) acute, chronic, and preventive care to patients across the lifespan (newborn to geriatric).
  • Practice within a Team-Based Care model, collaborating closely with MAs, volunteers, and other clinicians.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history, physical exam, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as clinically indicated.
  • Utilize Athena EMR for accurate and timely documentation (training provided).
  • Provide walk-in and same-day care as needed.
  • Perform minor office procedures based on training and experience (e.g., incision & drainage, sutures, joint injections, biopsies).
  • Deliver reproductive health services if trained/certified (e.g., IUD insertions, Nexplanon, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy).
  • Uphold all applicable clinical standards, safety protocols, and state medical regulations.
  • Engage in clinic-wide quality improvement efforts and multidisciplinary team collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
  • Colorado-licensed Family Nurse Practitioner with full prescriptive authority
  • Current Board Certification (AANP or ANCC)
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Current DEA license
  • Experience with underserved populations strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable with a flexible, dynamic outpatient environment
