Title: Cafeteria Worker: Part-Time
Qualifications:
  • Be friendly to customers (students and staff) and enjoys serving others
  • Ability to see what needs to be done and assist where needed
  • Ability and willingness to cross-train for various duties/responsibilities in the kitchen/cafeteria
  • Physical ability to walk, stoop, stand, twist, and squat on a constant basis
  • Capable of lifting 25 - 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Maintain excellent attendance
  • Ability to get along well with others
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a team to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to follow oral and/or written directions

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Food preparation, serving, and clean up
  • Participate in meetings as required
  • Promote a positive and professional image of the district at all times
  • Follow all rules, policies, procedures and guidelines of Fairfield Community Schools
  • Other duties as assigned by building principal and/or supervisor

Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Have at least a high school diploma or GED
  • Maintain 12 hours of food safety training yearly and have or obtain Serve Safe Certification
  • Slip resistant footwear is required
  • Complete and pass an Expanded Criminal Background and CPS Check

Compensation:
  • Competitive pay based upon experience

Contracted days:
  • 180 school days plus any required classified staff workdays per school year

Hours:
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - 10 hours per week
Reports to: Building Principal and/or Building Supervisor and Cafeteria Manager
