POSITION TITLE: Room Attendant
JOB CODE: 61025
FT/PT: Part Time
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
1. Enters work place at scheduled time in work appropriate clothing ready to begin work. Properly clocks in.
2. Receives assignment from executive housekeeper.
3. Softly knocks on room door and identifies self.
4. Enters and prepares room for cleaning.
5. Strips and makes bed with clean linen.
6. Dusts the room and furniture.
7. Replenishes guest room and bath supplies.
8. Cleans the bathroom and fixtures.
9. Cleans the closet.
10. Vacuums the carpet.
11. Rechecks cleaning duties checklist and secures the room.
12. Vacuums corridor and stairs.
13. Clean elevator inside and out when assigned.
14. Remove any wall or door markings as needed.
15. Restocks cleaning cart for future use.
16. Restocks linen storage.
17. Additional duties may be added as needed.
EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent desired but not required. Must be able to speak and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
EXPERIENCE: Previous hotel-related experience is beneficial but we will train you.
PHYSICAL: Requires fingering, grasping writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing and visual acuity. Requires the ability to push and pull housekeeping carts and equipment. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
