The Student Work Study position provides currently enrolled university students with part-time employment opportunities that support departmental operations while fostering professional growth and skill development. Student employees may be federally funded through the Federal Work-Study Program or institutionally funded; however, job responsibilities and performance expectations remain consistent regardless of funding source.
Student Work Study employees perform a variety of entry-level administrative, operational, customer service, research, or program support duties, depending on departmental needs. Responsibilities may include assisting with office tasks, supporting events and programs, providing front-line customer service, data entry, filing, light research assistance, technology support, or other general support functions.
This role is designed to complement the student's academic experience by promoting workplace readiness, accountability, communication skills, and time management. Student employees are expected to maintain professionalism, confidentiality (where applicable), and compliance with university policies while balancing work responsibilities with their academic commitments.
Positions are part-time, scheduled around academic coursework, and limited to the maximum allowable weekly hours in accordance with university and funding guidelines.

  • Assists in the day to day maintenance and responsibilities of the assigned department
  • Responsible for clerical functions including answering phones, filing, scheduling, organizing, etc.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
