San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is an international, nonprofit conservation organization with two front doors: the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. We integrate wildlife health and care, science, and education to develop sustainable conservation solutions.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Delivery Helper performs all job assignments with a positive attitude that supports San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance's mission and vision of saving species worldwide by uniting our expertise in wildlife care and conservation science with our dedication to inspiring passion for nature and leading the fight against extinction. The Delivery Helper under general supervision, performs varied warehouse duties in the filling of orders and delivery of supplies in the Warehouse Department. This position reports to Warehouse Management.
Positions in this class perform routinely difficult warehousing and delivery duties in support of the Rancho Bernardo Warehouse Operations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Loads and unloads merchandise and supplies on vehicles
  • Keeps records, delivers and retrieves merchandise and supplies to and from Retail locations within the Warehouse, Zoo or Safari Park
  • Keeps warehouse facilities and vehicles in clean and orderly condition
  • Understands and adheres to retail safety and proper warehouse storage
  • Follows safety practices and operates equipment
  • Assists in setting-up and stocking merchandise

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual who can accurately and efficiently receive, process, pick, pack, and organize orders for retail replenishment. This role involves using warehouse equipment to sort, store, and restock inventory, as well as maintaining orderly bin locations, performing inventory counts, stock rotation, and discrepancy resolution.
JOB EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Valid Driver's License

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of:
  • Organization's safety policy
  • Storage and handling of retail service supplies and materials

Ability to:
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
