How much do part time weatherization jobs pay per hour?

As of Jul 1, 2026, the average hourly pay for part time weatherization in the United States is $19.48, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $16.35 and $22.36 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What is the 3 month rule for jobs?

The 3 month rule for weatherization jobs typically refers to a probationary period of three months during which an employee's performance and fit for the role are evaluated. Successful completion of this period can lead to permanent employment, benefits, or further training opportunities. It is common in part-time weatherization positions to ensure skills and reliability meet program standards.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Part time weatherization jobs typically do not pay $4,000 a week; such high earnings usually require full-time roles or specialized skills. High-paying jobs without a degree often include skilled trades like electrical work, plumbing, or certain sales positions, but these may require experience or certifications rather than formal education. Earning this level of income part-time is uncommon and may involve commission-based or entrepreneurial work.

What is a relaxing job that pays well?

Part time weatherization jobs can be relatively relaxing and offer decent pay, especially for those with basic skills in home insulation, sealing, and energy efficiency. These roles often involve working indoors or in controlled environments and may require certifications in energy auditing or safety procedures. The schedule is typically flexible, making it suitable for those seeking a less stressful work environment.

What is the difference between Part Time Weatherization vs Part Time Energy Auditor?

Part Time Weatherization focuses on improving energy efficiency in homes through insulation, sealing, and safety measures, often under government programs. Part Time Energy Auditor conducts assessments to identify energy savings opportunities, providing recommendations for efficiency improvements. While both roles involve home assessments, Weatherization emphasizes physical modifications, whereas Energy Auditors focus on evaluations and reports.

What jobs will no longer exist in 2030?

Part Time Weatherization jobs are less likely to exist in their current form by 2030 due to increased automation, energy efficiency standards, and the adoption of smart home technologies. Many tasks may be performed by automated systems or integrated into broader energy retrofit roles, reducing the need for manual weatherization work. Workers in this field may need to adapt by gaining skills in technology and energy management.
