Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics Analyst
The Opportunity:
Support defense acquisition and sustainment commands with life cycle logistics planning and execution for the B-52 program. Provide logistics and maintenance expertise supporting aircraft, weapon systems, or Support Equipment (SE) programs. Conduct logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses and provide recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics element requirements in support of aircraft, weapon systems, training, or SE programs. Provide recommendations for changes to site support, including maintenance planning, phased support, manpower and personnel requirements, initial provisioning and material support, SE, training and training devices, technical data packaging, handling, storage and transportation, and facilities. Provide recommendations for the development of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) management plans.
In this role, you will directly support the B-52 Reliability and Maintainability Improvement Program (RMIP) by identifying, prioritizing, and helping implement design, retrofit, support equipment, and process improvements that increase system reliability, availability, and maintainability while reducing life-cycle costs. You will also contribute to the B-52 Radar Modernization Program (RMP) by coordinating sustainment, installation planning, supply support, and deficiency reporting activities that enable replacement of legacy radar components and improve mission performance.
What You'll Work On:
  • Lead or support RMIP project intake and triage using maintenance and failure data to identify high-impact reliability and maintainability candidates.
  • Develop Business Case Analyses (BCAs), Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms), and logistics work packages to drive RMIP project execution and track benefits.
  • Coordinate modification and installation planning for Radar Modernization Program (RMP) kits with depot and field maintenance teams.
  • Align provisioning, technical data, and training to support fleet-wide implementation.
  • Collaborate with government, OEM, and cross-functional stakeholders to integrate RMIP and RMP schedules, funding profiles, and configuration management processes.

You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience with B-52 acquisition, maintenance planning, logistics support, supportability analysis, operational availability analysis, or resource requirements analysis
  • 5+ years of experience supporting DoD
  • Experience with military aviation logistics and maintenance principles, practices, and processes
  • Experience supporting sustainment improvement programs, such as reliability growth, corrective action, and modification management, or avionics and radar modernization efforts
  • Ability to plan and orchestrate major logistics and aircraft weapons system sustainment programs at the enterprise level
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with B-52H avionics or radar system sustainment, including installation planning, provisioning, and technical data integration
  • Experience with DMSMS analyses and mitigation planning for legacy systems undergoing modernization
  • Master's degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
