JOB SCOPE SUMMARY -
Under the general supervision of the Branch Manager, the Warehouse Associate performs a variety of warehousing functions mostly pertaining to unloading trucks containing inbound materials and receiving inbound shipments in a timely manner. Picks orders for shipments, reports out-of-stock items, cleans, and straightens warehouse on an "as-needed" basis. May operate a forklift while unloading, moving, or storing product as required.
WORK SCHEDULE -
Monday - Friday, 20-40 hours per week between the business hours of 7am - 5pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
  • Schedule and coordinate all inbound freight when necessary.
  • Use an RF scan gun to manage inventory & track in/outbound freight
  • Assist in unloading inbound freight, including use of forklift and pallet jacks.
  • Receive all inbound freight (including branch transfers) and make sure it is staged and put away properly.
  • Label all new inventory and take steps necessary for proper put-away.
  • Put away stock in the warehouse according to agreed-upon standards and procedures.
  • Replenish from overstock areas and "rotate stock" when appropriate.
  • Update bin locations whenever necessary.
  • Complete all paperwork and filing necessary for freight claims as well as daily receiving maintenance.
  • Assist Replenishing, Order Pulling, and, Shipping departments with the workload.
  • Keep designated areas clean and orderly on a daily basis.
  • Communicates well with Warehouse Supervisor and/or Branch Manager to ensure that all areas of the warehouse are being covered as needed.
  • May work on special projects as needed.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training Past experience would include shipping/receiving, and material handling.
  • HVAC/R experience along with customer service and/or sales preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred
