Job description

As a member of MLB's Games and VR Quality Assurance team, your job is to help us make great baseball games. You work closely with our internal development teams, communicating issues directly to Producers, Software Engineers, Artists, and Designers.
Responsibilities
  • Authentic Baseball Knowledge Application: Leverage your deep understanding of baseball rules, terminology, and culture to critically assess the accuracy and authenticity of our digital offerings
  • Rigorous Testing and Analysis: Execute detailed test plans to pinpoint software defects across various aspects of our apps, including gameplay mechanics, visual fidelity, audio experience, and user interface functionality
  • Comprehensive Bug Reporting: Accurately log and report identified bugs using Jira (or other designated tools). This includes providing clear, concise descriptions, precise steps for reproduction, and any relevant supporting materials such as screenshots or videos
  • Effective Communication and Collaboration: Actively engage with internal development teams, providing regular updates on testing progress and findings. Participation in team meetings is expected, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution
  • Test Plan Development Support: Contribute to the creation and refinement of test plans and cases, collaborating on brainstorming test scenarios, anticipating potential issues, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage
  • Diligent Verification and Regression Testing: Conduct thorough verification of bug fixes and perform regression testing to prevent the introduction of new issues while ensuring the stability of the product
  • Multi-Platform Technical Proficiency: Expertly test on various platforms, including PCs, Mobile Devices, and Game Consoles. Comfortably switch between different devices and troubleshoot platform-specific challenges as needed.
