Volunteer Role | Hybrid (On-Site Required) | Part-Time | Unpaid
Overview
The Human Resources Operations Volunteer provides administrative and communications support to the Human Resources team at Operation Mobilization USA. This volunteer role assists with payroll-related correspondence, HR communications, and office administrative functions that help ensure timely and effective support for staff, volunteers, and ministry partners.
This role works under the direction of the Director of Human Resources and collaborates closely with the Payroll Specialist and other HR team members. Because this position includes handling physical mail and other office-based responsibilities, regular on-site availability is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Payroll Specialist with routine correspondence and administrative tasks
  • Support payroll and tax-related communications with employees, government agencies, and other organizations as directed
  • Monitor the Human Resources department email inbox
  • Respond to routine requests for information using approved procedures and templates
  • Route emails and inquiries to the appropriate HR team member for resolution
  • Track and follow up on assigned correspondence as needed
  • Open and sort incoming postal mail addressed to Human Resources
  • Route mail and documents to the appropriate HR team member
  • Maintain confidentiality of personnel, payroll, and organizational information
  • Assist with filing, records management, and other administrative support activities
  • Support special HR projects as assigned

  • Experience or strong interest in administrative support, office administration, payroll, or Human Resources

  • Ability to work independently while following established procedures
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and SharePoint) helpful

Location & Availability
  • Must be able to work on-site at the OM USA office one to two days per week
  • Additional work may be completed remotely when appropriate
