Systems Engineer, Mid
The Opportunity:
Join a mission-focused team supporting the modernization, automation, and secure delivery of enterprise IT capabilities. As a Systems Administrator, you will help maintain and evolve our Windows-based infrastructure while develop ing hands-on experience with PowerShell automation, system hardening, and security operations in a structured, DoD-aligned environment.
You will work alongside senior engineers and IT leadership to administer core Windows services, build automation solutions, and support the reliability and security of enterprise systems. This role provides a real growth path - with the opportunity to deepen your skills in cloud services, DevOps tooling, and infrastructure automation as you mature in the position.

You Have:
  • Experience administering Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation, system management, and reporting
  • Experience supporting patch management, sof tware deployment, and system hardening activities
  • Experience with endpoint security practices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities
  • Knowledge of core networking concepts, including TCP / IP, DNS, firewalls, and VLANs
  • Ability to follow through on issues to resolution, troubleshoot, and pay strict attention to detail
  • Ability to document configurations, procedures, and runbooks
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification , including CompTIA Security+ CE

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Omnissa Horizon VDI environments including configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting virtual desktop infrastructures to ensure optimal performance for users
  • Experience with Micro sof t Azure - Azure AD or Entra ID, Azure Virtual Machines, or Azure resource administration
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI / CD pipeline concepts, or infrastructure-as-code
  • Experience with SIEM tools, endpoint protection platforms, or vulnerability scanning solutions
  • Experience with Agile team workflows and ceremonies
  • Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
