Part Time Video Producer information

What is a part time video producer?

Part time video producers are professionals who oversee and manage video production projects on a part-time basis, typically working fewer hours than full-time staff. Their responsibilities include planning, filming, editing, and coordinating video content, often for marketing, training, or entertainment purposes. They may work for companies, organizations, or as freelancers, and collaborate with other creative professionals such as camera operators, editors, and scriptwriters. Part time video producers need strong technical, organizational, and creative skills to successfully bring video projects to completion while balancing a reduced work schedule.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a part time video producer, and how do they collaborate with other team members?

As a Part Time Video Producer, your daily responsibilities often include coordinating shoot schedules, overseeing video recording sessions, editing footage, and ensuring that content aligns with brand guidelines. You’ll frequently collaborate with videographers, editors, and marketing team members to bring creative concepts to life, even within limited weekly hours. Communication and flexibility are key, as you may need to juggle multiple projects or adjust timelines based on team availability and project scope. This role offers a dynamic work environment where problem-solving and adaptability are highly valued.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time video producer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Video Producer, you need expertise in video production techniques, editing, and storytelling, often supported by experience or a relevant degree. Familiarity with industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and basic audio/video equipment is typically required. Strong organizational skills, creativity, and effective communication help manage projects and collaborate with clients or team members. These skills ensure high-quality video content, efficient workflows, and successful project outcomes even within limited hours.

Job description

Lights, Camera, Build Something Big: Social Video Producer & Editor (Great Student Role Opportunity)
Stylecraft Builders | Bryan/College Station, TX
Part-Time / Contract | Flexible Around Class Schedule
Forget the typical student job. This is your chance to help build a content platform while working directly with the CEO of one of the nation's fastest-growing private homebuilders.
At Stylecraft, we're looking for a creative, driven individual who lives and breathes content. If you're already filming, editing, posting, or building your own audience, this is an opportunity to take those skills to the next level and create content that reaches thousands of people.
Why This Isn't Your Average Student Gig
Build Alongside a CEO
You'll work directly with Doug French, CEO of Stylecraft, creating content that gives people a behind-the-scenes look at business, leadership, entrepreneurship, and the homebuilding industry.
Real Experience. Real Ownership.
This isn't a coffee-run internship. You'll be behind the camera, in the edit bay, helping create content that actually gets published.
Grow Your Portfolio Fast
You'll gain hands-on experience shooting, editing, storytelling, and content strategy while building a body of work you can showcase for years to come.
Room to Grow
As the platform grows, so can your role. What starts as a student contract position could evolve into a larger content production opportunity.

What You'll Be Doing
Content Creation
  • Join Doug on-site at communities, job sites, events, meetings, and other day-to-day activities.
  • Capture high-quality vertical video for social media platforms.
  • Shoot candid moments, B-roll, and behind-the-scenes content.
Video Editing
  • Edit engaging short-form content using CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar software.
  • Add captions, hooks, graphics, transitions, and pacing that keep viewers engaged.
  • Deliver polished videos within agreed-upon timelines.
Creative Collaboration
  • Help brainstorm content ideas and trending topics.
  • Suggest hooks, angles, and storytelling ideas.
  • Stay up to date on social media trends and best practices.
Build the Content Library
  • Organize footage and create a collection of videos and photos that can be used across multiple platforms.

What We're Looking For
We're less interested in job titles and more interested in talent, creativity, and initiative.
You'll be a great fit if you:
  • Have experience creating or editing short-form video content.
  • Understand what makes videos perform well on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms.
  • Are comfortable filming in real-world environments.
  • Have strong communication skills and aren't afraid to ask questions.
  • Are reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Can balance the role with your school schedule.
Bonus Points If:
  • You already create content for your own channel or social accounts.
  • You have experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing software.
  • You're interested in business, entrepreneurship, real estate, or storytelling.
  • You enjoy turning everyday moments into engaging content.

The Details
Location: Bryan/College Station, TX (In Person)
Schedule: Flexible around school. Typically one shoot day (Friday's) per week plus editing time.
Position Type: Part-Time / Contract
Growth Opportunity: Potential to expand into a larger content production role as the platform grows.

Ready to Build Something Cool?
Send us:
  • Your resume (if you have one).
  • Links to videos, social media accounts, or content you've created.
  • A brief note explaining your role in the content (filming, editing, scripting, or everything).
If selected, you'll be invited to complete a paid trial project so we can see your creative style and editing approach.
Stylecraft is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the communities we serve.
