Job description

Position will conceptualize, design and create marketing print and digital collateral to support the College mission, vision and strategic plan. This position will be responsible for collaborating and producing marketing material that enhances the image, brand and reputation of Blackhawk and its campuses internally and externally.

This position will be open until filled. The recruitment may close without further notice. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible


  1. Perform layout and design of promotional materials and publications for the College consistent with the College image and brand standards.
  2. Seek and incorporate multicultural perspectives into marketing collateral.
  3. Maintain knowledge of industry best practices; make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  4. Organize and maintain electronic files of projects and image resources.
  5. Work collaboratively with a variety of departments to develop marketing pieces that meet the needs of the organization.
  6. Manage and track workflow to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
  7. Track all projects using the department project management tool.
  8. Understand the print process and how to prepare files to collaborate with the print center on printed projects.
  9. Coordinate with stakeholders on campus digital and static signage displays.
  10. Photograph College campuses, faculty and staff as needed.
  11. Provide backup for other members of the Marketing and Communications team.

 


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  1. Advanced skills in the use of industry standard software including:
    • Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
    • Microsoft Office: Word & Powerpoint
    • Font utility programs
  2. Proficiency in using mac and pc platforms.
  3. Provide creative page layout skills in print and digital/web marketing.
  4. Ability to manage competing priorities with attention to detail.
  5. Digital photography, animation or video editing skills.
  6. Ability to communicate and work with diverse stakeholders.

 

Education & Experience:

  1. Associate Degree in Digital Marketing, Graphic Design or Related Field.
  2. Two years of related Graphic Design experience.
