Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Video Editor VA (Long-Form Content) based in Netherlands.

As a Video Editor Virtual Assistant, you will transform raw footage into polished, engaging long-form video content for clients across international markets. You will manage the editing process from footage organization and trimming through final delivery and revisions. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented video editor who understands pacing, transitions, audio quality, and visual consistency. You will work on formats such as podcasts, interviews, training videos, and other full-length content. You will also add basic graphics, text overlays, and light effects when needed to enhance the final product. This is a flexible, part-time contractor opportunity where quality, reliability, organization, and responsiveness to feedback are highly valued.

Accountabilities
  • Edit long-form video content, including full episodes, interviews, podcasts, training videos, and similar formats.
  • Review, splice, trim, and clean raw footage to create polished and cohesive final videos.
  • Maintain appropriate pacing, smooth transitions, visual consistency, and overall production quality.
  • Add basic text overlays, graphics, and light visual effects according to project requirements.
  • Perform basic audio cleanup and color correction to improve the quality and consistency of finished content.
  • Organize video files, project assets, and deliverables in a structured and accessible manner.
  • Review completed edits and incorporate client feedback and requested revisions accurately.
  • Manage assigned projects and deliverables according to agreed timelines, guidelines, and scope of work.
  • Communicate clearly regarding project requirements, revisions, questions, and delivery expectations.
  • Provide professional video editing services under an independent contractor engagement.
Requirements
  • Previous experience editing long-form video content such as podcasts, interviews, training videos, or full-length episodes.
  • Proficiency with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or a comparable platform.
  • Strong understanding of video pacing, transitions, storytelling flow, and overall production quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to splice, trim, clean, and organize raw video footage.
  • Experience creating basic text overlays, graphics, and light visual effects.
  • Basic knowledge of audio cleanup and color correction.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple revisions and incorporate feedback accurately.
  • Good English comprehension, communication, speaking, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably within defined project requirements and deadlines.
  • Junior through senior-level experience is considered.
  • Availability for approximately 10-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to work flexibly between 9 AM and 1 PM Central Standard Time (CST), with scheduling subject to client requirements and mutual agreement.
  • Comfortable working as an independent contractor rather than as an employee.
Benefits
  • Competitive contractor rates.
  • Weekly payments.
  • Flexible part-time schedule of approximately 10-20 hours per week.
  • Flexible working hours within the agreed client schedule.
  • Opportunities to work on various client engagements and video editing projects.
  • Free training and upskilling opportunities.
  • Ongoing support and guidance throughout client engagements.
  • Access to a vibrant and supportive professional community.
  • Opportunities to develop experience across different long-form content formats and client requirements.
  • Potential for additional project opportunities based on client needs, qualifications, and availability.
