The successful candidate in this role will likely be an inventor on future patents.

Core Responsibilities

  • Video Systems Product Leadership:
  • Lead development from concept to production.
  • Build and test prototypes to innovate and prove concepts.
  • Develop robust solutions including specifications and document underlying logic thoroughly.
  • Systems & Support:
  • Coordinate inventory and purchasing of A/V equipment and components.
  • Offer technical support to customers and in-house manufacturing and assembly personnel, monitoring questions and issues through the lens of continuous improvement.
  • Review and test technical equipment as required.
  • Customer & Market Insight:
  • Represent company at trade shows and customer facilities for development & field setup.
  • Incorporate customer needs and pain points into the development process.
  • Analyze market data to ensure products are viable and competitive.

Education/Experience:

Required:

  • 4-year degree in an engineering/technology related field or equivalent experience
  • Substantial experience and interest with cameras, video, audio, and computer equipment including surrounding concepts and technologies
  • Strong knowledge of common A/V communication methods-HDMI, SDI, audio signals, etc
  • Demonstrated passion for ongoing learning and technology evolution
  • Proven reliable and accountable team member
  • High level of attention to detail & organizational skills
  • Competency using computers & technology for a variety of tasks including Microsoft/Google applications; such as Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, and PowerPoint/Slides

Preferred:

  • Experience with video editing software (Davinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut etc)
  • Experience with AV over IP protocols
  • Engineering and design knowledge
  • Familiarity with R&D processes
  • Knowledge or interest in continuous improvement
  • Successful experience in a development role
  • Portfolio of solutions in previous work or hobbies

Travel: Up to 10-15% to attend trade shows representing Revolution as an exhibitor, attending industry shows to learn, or periodically to customer sites for hands-on install or product development work.
