Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt 

Hours: Mon-Wed 4-8pm; 12hrs/week

Ministry Area: Executive-Office Management

Location: Chanhassen

Reports to: Executive Assistant

Role:

To greet and assist guests both on the phone and in person, providing a welcoming atmosphere.


Responsibilities:

  • Greet all visitors to the church, providing a positive first impression, and efficiently connect them with the appropriate ministry staff member or volunteer
  • Manage main desk phone calls, answering questions and directing calls as needed. 
  • Maintain the safety/security in the Commons, paying particular attention to those with suspicious appearance or behavior and follow proper security guidelines
  • Manage USPS and package deliveries and pickups
  • Manage Lost & Found items
  • Assist with projects to support Westwood staff as available
  • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
  • Align to and live out the Westwood Staff Values:

Requirements

  • Someone who lives a life that honors God in heart, actions, and relationships, with the goal of becoming more like Jesus
  • One to two years general office experience (preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
  • Good verbal communication skills, on the phone and in person
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Ability to relate to other Westwood staff and church attenders at large
  • Endorse and support Westwood's Statement of Faith
  • Remain a member in good standing of Westwood Community Church
