About the CAP Program
CAP provides Intensive supportive housing for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Clients receive medically necessary on-site services in a clustered apartment setting because of a history of failure in multiple community settings and/or the presence on an ongoing risk of harm to self or others which would otherwise require long term psychiatric hospitalization.
What You'll Do
  • Monitors clients in a safe environment, performing and documenting client safety rounds. This includes ADL monitoring and coaching (i.e. life skills, communication skills, community integration, etc.).
  • Facilitates structured activities with clients in accordance with their goals and treatment plan.
  • Demonstrates culturally competent respect for all clients, guests and staff through verbal and non-verbal behaviors and assists them as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the program space.
  • Safeguards Protected Health Information (written and electronically) and maintains confidentiality. This may include providing written documentation, scanning and/or uploading records into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This may also include requesting and/or releasing client information or medical records.

Requirements of the Position
  • Availability to work a Part Time schedule (24 hours per week) Sat-Sun 7A-7P; all new hires are required to attend a one-week ReDiscover orientation as part of the onboarding process.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must carry all appropriate insurance on the vehicle being driven, necessary to comply with Missouri or Kansas State Law.
  • Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as the use of email.
