Description

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is looking for a dedicated and hard-working Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to work Part Time / PerDiem in the medical department at the Carroll County Detention Center located in Westminster, MD. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care and perform duties under the supervision of an RN. You must also hold your CNA.


Available Shifts: Weekend Shifts 3 pm to 11 pm


Job Responsibilities:

  • Initial intake screening on new receptions
  • Taking vital signs and completing all appropriate intake forms
  • Preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas for the facility
  • Performing daily medication passes.
  • Maintaining medication records
  • Typing of various reports, letters, and memoranda
  • Answering the telephone and processing calls
  • Maintaining the filing system and confidentiality of information at all times
  • Following universal precautions at all times
  • Maintaining a pleasant working attitude
  • Any/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated


This position provides a 2 week orientation period where you will be training on the job and shadowing with the nursing staff.

(Please note that the pay range is not a sliding scale based on experience; it reflects the base pay as well as the differentials offered between shifts.)

Requirements

Qualified applicants must have completed an approved CMT program.

Other requirements include:

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Dually certified as a CMT/CNA.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Pleasant telephone manner
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and medical equipment
