Hamilton Arms Center is currently looking for a Part Time Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to assist with leading our nursing team! The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager will work Tuesday-Thursday. The RN Unit Manager oversees the care, systems and processes that deliver the resident care. Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic Registered Nurse (RN) with leadership experience in long-term care? Then this might be the perfect opportunity for YOU!
Requirements of the Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager:
  • Must possess valid unencumbered RN state license
  • BSN preferred
  • Two (2) years of experience preferred as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility. Must have, as a minimum of six (6) months experience in rehab and restorative nursing practices.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
  • On Call Weekend, once a month
  • Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager:
  • Supervises nursing care provided by nursing assistants, licensed vocational/practical nurses and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Interviews, recommends hires and trains employees.
  • Plans, assigns and directs work.
  • PCC, Point Click Care knowledge
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and clinical expertise required to effectively supervise all nursing activities in the facility or the units to which assigned.
  • Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems relative to the unit(s).
  • Promotes and protects resident's rights; assists residents to make informed decisions; treats Residents with dignity and respect.
