Nursery Laborer (Part-time on weekends), Ham Lake, MN

Position Overview
The CLS Nursery Equipment Operator and Laborer is responsible for loading, delivering, and maintaining nursery merchandise, grounds, and fields using equipment including, but not limited to, loaders, bobcats, and forklifts. This is a seasonal position, depending on the regional location. This is a part-time position for the weekends. We are seeking somebody who has experience with bulk loads with the bobcat, forklift operator, and delivery of bulk loads.
Job Duties
• Operate, maintain, and properly use landscape equipment.
• Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, and water plants, shrubs, and trees.
• Deliver trees, shrubs, plants, flowers, and bulk materials to customers.
• Clean work areas and maintain grounds.
• Perform proper pruning and prepare trees for pickup.
• Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems.
• Harvest, transplant, pot, and label plants.
• Apply chemical solutions to protect plants and enhance growth.
Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years old to work in the field.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to be a Department of Transportation (DOT) certified driver for specific vehicles or equipment.
• Ability to complete required safety courses upon hire.
• Ability to complete Davey Career Development Program (CDP) books.
• Valid driver's license may be required for some positions.
• DOT medical card, or ability to obtain one to be a Davey Qualified Driver for some positions.
Additional Information
Competitive wages based on experience, $17.00 per hour to $20.00 per hour.
