Job description
- Lead the development of operating budgets, programlevel budgets, forecasts, and longterm financial strategies aligned with Sanctuary's clinical and operational goals
- Partner closely with the COO and program leadership on budgeting, costbenefit analysis, and forecasting related to census, staffing, and service expansion
- Provide financial insight to support datadriven decisionmaking across clinical, operational, and administrative functions
- Ensure accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
- Oversee financial compliance related to healthcare and behavioral health operations, including payer contracts, audits, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and present financial reports, analyses, and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including payer mix, reimbursement risk, operational risk, and market volatility
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to support compliance, audit readiness, and financial integrity
- Serve as a strategic partner in evaluating growth initiatives, new programs, mergers, acquisitions, and expansion opportunities
- Advise executive leadership and the Board on financial implications of business development initiatives

- Plays a critical role in governance, compliance, and organizational stewardship
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive, preferably within healthcare or behavioral health
- Strong background in financial strategy, reporting, compliance, and risk management
- Experience supporting multiprogram operations, growth initiatives, and complex regulatory environments
- Demonstrated ability to partner with executive leadership and boards in a missiondriven organization
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
