Description
Applied Technical Services, LLC ("ATS" or the "Company") is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services. ATS was founded in 1967 and is headquartered in Marietta, GA. Today the Company employs nearly 2,100 team members in over 95 locations across the United States.

Summary: ATS is seeking NDT experienced NDT Level II (4 methods) and/or CWI and/or API Techs to support our San Diego, CA office. This position is open to experienced Level II NDT Techs, CWI and API Inspectors. Multiple/Additional certs preferred. Must be local to San Diego County, CA or willing to relocate. These are Part time call out and also Permanent positions with benefits for permanent hires and a pay range of $25 to $45+ per hour based on experience and certs held. Travel includes SoCal up to Oakland/SF area.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • NDT Level II Tech/CWI/API will be responsible for supporting customers and projects in the field while conducting NDT and inspections in most methods.
  • All NDT Techs will collect, manage, and evaluate test data for accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain and report test results.
  • Complete reports and documentation as required.
  • Must be able to read technical documents and engineering specifications.
  • Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures.
  • Work safely; maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to adapt to an ever-changing schedule.
  • Ability to use computers for data entry.
  • MUST HAVE supporting certs and documentation for NDT/CWI/API qualifications including official formal training, OJT/Experience hours documentation as applicable.

  • Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  • Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions:
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
  • Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
  • Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
  • Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
  • Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
