Site Supervisor – Unarmed (Part-Time)

Job Type: Part-Time, NON-EXEMPT
Salary: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour
Work Location: In-person – Greater Bay Area
Industry: Security / Public Safety

Schedule / Availability

Open availability is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Position Overview

Diligence Security Group is seeking a professional, customer-service-oriented Site Supervisor to oversee Safety Ambassadors assigned to college campus locations. This role emphasizes positive engagement with students, faculty, staff, and visitors while ensuring compliance with campus policies, safety guidelines, and DSG procedures.

The Site Supervisor provides leadership, mentorship, scheduling support, and field oversight. They respond to incidents using verbal de-escalation skills only, as weapons are strictly prohibited on California college campuses. Although full BSIS certifications are required for off-campus operational support, no weapons or defensive tools are carried on campus at any time.

This position is ideal for an individual with strong people skills, excellent communication, and proven experience supervising campus safety teams, particularly Safety Ambassadors.

Position Duties

Campus Supervision

  • Supervise Safety Ambassadors at campus posts
  • Ensure compliance with campus rules and DSG post orders
  • Conduct site inspections and safety walk-throughs
  • Resolve performance issues and document corrective actions
  • Ensure incident reports and logs are submitted accurately and on time
  • Meet regularly with school administrators and campus partners

Leadership & Personnel Management

  • Train, mentor, coach, and discipline staff professionally
  • Review post instructions and expectations with team members
  • Conduct onboarding and refresher training
  • Maintain documentation of coaching and performance reviews
  • Escalate staffing shortages and safety concerns to Operations

Mobile Support

  • Conduct mobile patrols, lock checks, and site assessments
  • Support and cover posts during call-outs or staffing shortages
  • Respond to off-campus emergencies as assigned
  • Deliver equipment, uniforms, keys, or documentation as needed

Dispatch & Administrative Support

  • Assist dispatch with officer check-ins and shift accountability
  • Document calls, incidents, updates, and field communication
  • Track attendance and shift changes
  • Coordinate last-minute coverage and schedule adjustments

Client Interaction

  • Communicate with campus representatives and department leaders
  • Ensure safety expectations are consistently met
  • Build strong, professional relationships with campus partners

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Direct, train, motivate, and evaluate Safety Ambassadors
  • Ensure all posts are fully staffed and operational
  • Conduct campus safety assessments
  • Prepare and submit daily and weekly supervisor reports
  • Maintain compliance with DSG policies and school-site regulations

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • 2–5 years of security experience (REQUIRED)
  • 1–2 years supervisory experience (REQUIRED)
  • Prior experience on a school or college campus (REQUIRED)
  • Experience with patrols, inspections, and incident response
  • High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field (PREFERRED)
  • Military or law enforcement background (PREFERRED)

Licenses & Certifications (ALL REQUIRED)

  • CA BSIS Guard Card
  • SB 1626
  • CPR / First Aid Certification
  • Valid California Driver’s License
