Job description

Machine Operator


A growing manufacturing team is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to join their 2nd shift in Lomira. In this role, you will set up and run specialized equipment, perform quality inspections, and help drive efficiency in a dynamic production environment.


Position –Machine Operator

Job Location –Lomira, WI

Starting Date –ASAP

Employment Term –Temp to hire

Employment Type –Full time

Work Hours (Shift) – 2nd shift

Starting Pay –$19+

Benefits –Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(K), Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Referral Bonus

Required Experience –At least 2 years of experience


Responsibilities

  • Load and unload parts efficiently to achieve expected production rates across various advanced machines.
  • Learn to set up and operate specialty machinery, including Gockel grinders, scan heat treat machines, shot blasters, and auto-stackers.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and order travelers to ensure precise specifications.
  • Follow established machine settings, operational parameters, and Safety Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
  • Conduct basic product inspections using precision hand-held measuring devices.
  • Log production data, track orders, and close out jobs in the computer system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area through 5S practices and perform minor preventive maintenance.
  • Assist in training full-time, part-time, or temporary team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Solid prior machine operation experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read, understand, and execute written instructions (prior blueprint reading experience preferred).

The Grafton office expanded from Carol’s home to several other buildings in town before finally settling in their current location on Opportunity Drive in Grafton in 1997.
