Collaborating Psychiatrist (Part-Time/Contract) – Women's Mental Health Practice

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma (Hybrid: In-Person & Telepsychiatry)

Start Date: August 2026

Position Overview

A new psychiatric private practice specializing in Women's Mental Health is seeking an experienced Collaborating Psychiatrist to support a growing outpatient practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

This hybrid practice will provide both in-person and telepsychiatry services to patients ages 16 and older. The practice will be staffed by a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) working alongside an additional psychiatric NP.

The ideal psychiatrist will serve as the collaborating physician in accordance with Oklahoma regulations and provide professional consultation and oversight as needed.

Responsibilities

Serve as the collaborating psychiatrist for the practice

Provide consultation and clinical guidance as needed

Support psychiatric medication management practices

Be available for periodic case review and collaboration

Maintain compliance with applicable Oklahoma laws and regulations

Clinical ScopeThe psychiatric nurse practitioner will manage psychiatric care including:

Stimulant medications

Benzodiazepines

Other psychiatric medications within scope of practice

Requirements

Active Oklahoma Medical License

Active DEA Registration

Board Certification in Psychiatry preferred

Experience collaborating with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners preferred

Strong communication and collaborative skills

Malpractice Coverage

The practice maintains malpractice coverage for the group. Individual supervising physician malpractice requirements should be discussed during the interview process.
