As a registered nurse, you can work in non-bedside roles such as case management, health education, telehealth, research, or administrative positions. These roles often require strong communication skills, clinical knowledge, and sometimes additional certifications, and they typically involve working in office or remote environments rather than direct patient care.

A part-time telephonic RN can increase earnings by gaining specialized certifications, such as case management or telehealth, and building a strong reputation for providing high-quality remote care. Building skills in areas such as patient education and using telehealth platforms can also help maximize earning potential within a flexible schedule.

How to get a telehealth job as an RN?

To get a telehealth job as an RN, you should obtain a valid nursing license, gain experience in patient care, and develop strong communication skills. Many employers require familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and may prefer certifications in telehealth or related fields.
