Job description

Book Keeper – Part time 20 hours per week or as required - flexible.
Full Charge, experienced book keeper wanted for small manufacturing company of assistive technology for persons with disabilities based in Waterbury, CT. 
Requirements: 
Must have experience in a manufacturing environment. Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with accurate grammar and spelling.  Accounting degree preferred but is not required with relevant experience.  Back ground check will be done.
Primary functions:
Process Accounts Payable: enter invoices into SAGE50 and generate bill payments; PO’s reconciling, payment/expense management and approvals.
Manage Accounts Receivable: bill clients for goods/services, prepare and send invoices to customers through SAGE50; collections reconciling.
Prepare Bank Deposits: handle payments, data entry into SAGE50, reconciling.
Manage General Ledger: enter information into and reconcile basic general ledger accounts and perform timely month-end reconciliation, working with outside CPA firm as necessary.
Process Taxes: unemployment taxes, payroll tax reports, business and operating tax returns (monthly and quarterly), processing any necessary payments.
Pull Reports: various forms required by federal and state governments, Workman’s Comp; cash flow, budgeting, P&L, balance sheet and other vital financial matters.
Inventory control costs, annual physical inventory
Perform Clerical Duties: maintain files, phones, general administrative work, shopping, shipping; other duties as assigned.

Hourly rate $25-$35 based upon experience.
