YOUR ROLE AND IMPACT
• Develops, coordinates, plans, supervises, and instructs community-based programming for youth, teens, and adults, including but not limited to summer camps, youth development programs/sports, and special events.
• Facilitates programs/services and interacts with participants and volunteers with and without disabilities, inclusive of youth and teens.
• Provides participant transportation for programs.
• Maintains attendance records and program statistics; orders, tracks, and secures equipment and supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:
• An Associate's Degree in Recreation, Health and Physical Education, or a related field; minimum of one (1) year of experience in organizing and supervising recreational activities,
OR
• Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of three (3) years of experience in organizing and supervising recreational activities.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
The selected candidate for this position MUST obtain the following within six (6) months of hire :
• An Infant, Child and Adult First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
• Experience working with culturally diverse youth (must specify on application),
• Bi/trilingual ability (Spanish/English/Creole), and
• Experience teaching outdoor recreation programs.
