Summary:

Under direction of the EKG Medical Director, the incumbent is expected to adhere to system and department compliance policies and any applicable laws and regulations.
Prepares patients for testing and performs the test. This includes knowledge and support functions for SMS, CIS, Muse and Mars software systems. Applies holter monitor and instructs patient in use of holter monitors. Coordinate procedures for the department.
Works well as part of a team or independently. Maintains a positive, professional, compassionate attitude towards patients and fellow healthcare providers.

Job Responsibilities:

1)Provide age appropriate care to patients.
Demonstrates knowledge of developmental stages for the following age groups and applies developmental theories and concepts when planning and implementing care for patients. Age groups: Neonate, Infant & Toddler, Children, Adolescent, Adult.

2)Maintains equipment in a clean and proper working order.
Cleans all equipment and patient care areas daily according to procedure. Carries out minor adjustments to equipment whenever necessary according to department procedure and indicated log failures in book. Notifies coordinator/supervisor of serious malfunctions immediately

3)Communicates supply needs to coordinator/supervisor. Determines the need for replacement supplies before depletion. Evaluates inventory to insure adequate supplies and reviews of expiration dates. Stores supplies in appropriate sites as instructed by supervisor.

4)Consistently performs all EKG procedures independently and accurately including specifications provided by the clinical director of the EKG department. Acquires and Processes acquisition data thus providing the interpreting physician with a high quality diagnostic study. Responsible for accurately documenting data into the computer information systems e.g. SMS, CIS, Muse systems, etc.

5)Applies holter monitors according to procedure and verifies initial holter signal. Instructs patients on use of the holter monitor according to procedure and explains the importance of their journal. Removes holter monitor, prepares and cleans according to established procedures. Processes holter monitor, uploads and verifies data transfer to Mars software for scanning according to department procedure.

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
