Job description

PIEDMONT  HENRY  HOSPITAL – IMAGING  DEPARTMENT 

Imaging jobs at Piedmont Henry offer the opportunity for you to work in a state-of-the-art hospital featuring the very best equipment, great staff, flexible scheduling, and a great work environment. Our Imaging department has their own transporters and patient lift equipment to help move patients for imaging exams. We have 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts as well as weekend option pay. Our department includes X-ray Techs, CT Techs, MRI Techs, Ultrasound Techs, Mammography Techs, Interventional Radiology Techs, OR X-ray Techs, Unit Secretaries, Transporters, RN’s, PA’s, and Radiologist. 

We are a 259-bed hospital, a level III trauma center, a level III neonatal intensive care unit and stroke certified. Our Emergency room sees about 100,000 patients a year. 

Our Imaging department consist of the following: 

X-ray 3 Routine Rooms & 2 Fluoro Rooms (86,000 exams per year) 

CT 4 CT Siemens rooms (72,000 exams per year) 

MRI` 2 MRI units (1.5T Siemens & 3T GE) (10,000 exams per year) 

Ultrasound 3 Siemens Rooms (21,000 exams per year) 

Breast Health Center 4 Hologic Diag/Screening Rooms & 1 DEXA (23,000 per year) 

IR 1 GE Room (2,500 exams per year) 

Outpatient Diagnostic Center CT, MRI, Mammography & X-ray (11,000 exams per year) 

Surgery (OR) 5 GE OEC C-Arms 

CSU Pre and Post unit for patients receiving moderate sedation 


Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists specialize in using ionizing radiation to produce cross-sectional images to help doctors diagnose and treat patients. CT Technologists perform diagnostic Computerized Tomographic examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. CT Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
Education
  • Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required
Work Experience
  • 6 months experience as a Radiological Technologist Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (R) Upon Hire Required and
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
