Responsibilities
Prepare cytology slides and cell block preparations from Non Gynecologic Specimens for microscopic examination and diagnosis by Cytotechnicians, Cytopathologists and Pathologists. Perform pre-analytical procedures including labeling, preparing aliquots, specimen processing, laboratory waste disposal and decontamination of laboratory areas.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education

PREFERRED:
  1. Two (2) years experience as a Cytology Preparations Technician in a clinical or pathology laboratory highly preferred.
  2. Knowledge and experience in the use and application of computers.
  3. Ability to understand and apply accurate procedures in specimen handling and clerical processing.
  4. Good communication and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to provide accurate information and instructions.
  5. Strong computer keyboarding skills.

Work Hours:
3:00pm - 11:30pm
