OverviewResponsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the obstetrical operations performed in the Operating Room located in the Labor and Delivery unit. He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.   • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
Work Experience
  • Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program Required or
  • 1 year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist Required or
  • 3 years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Preferred
