Job description

The Tea Cart is a traditional British tearoom serving fine English fare and curated loose teas. Our servers provide excellent guest services and deliver a friendly, professional approach to every service. The fine dining experience at our tearoom is tranquil, joyful, and one that is to be remembered. Our staff delivers a high level of enthusiasm and represents our business in a positive, upstanding way.


Position is approximately 5-25 hours a week including weekends, depending on reservations.

Server experience is not required, but customer service experience is a plus. Extensive training will be provided to the right candidate.

Available shifts: Wednesday-Sunday

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with guests of all ages
  • Set up and clean-up of dining room and kitchen
  • Menu and tea knowledge
  • Food handling
  • Serve food for regular service and special events including private parties and monthly teas
  • Bus tables
  • Wash/polish silverware, dishes, glasses
  • Prepare service tickets
  • Merchandise knowledge and cashier duties
  • Restocking inventory

Specifications:

Required

  • Serving experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Eligible to work in U.S.
  • Ability to comfortably carry tea pots and handle fine china
  • Warm and friendly demeanor with an enthusiasm to provide excellent service
  • Interest in afternoon tea custom and the fine dining experience
