At A Glance

As a Dedicated Meta Technician Expert, you will operate as a highly skilled, autonomous field professional responsible for the end-to-end execution of break-fix, installation, and ad hoc maintenance activities, as well as core merchandising responsibilities. This role requires expert-level technical proficiency, independent decision-making, and ownership of in-market outcomes.   You will ensure optimal performance, functionality, and visual standards across all Meta displays within your assigned territory. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, executing installations and display refreshes, and maintaining full compliance with planograms (POG) and brand standards. As a trusted field expert, you will proactively identify opportunities for improvement, manage service execution with minimal oversight, and deliver consistent, high-quality results that meet or exceed program expectations.

This is a part-time position offering 3-15 hours a week with a standard Monday-Friday schedule.  Work must be completed by 6 pm.  Occasional weekend work may be required, with advance notice provided.

What You'll Do
  • Execute weekly service visits across an assigned route of retail locations (2-25 stores based on market), while adhering to established schedules and program requirements
  • Consistently complete assigned work according to established schedules and minimize unnecessary rescheduling
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to maintain full functionality and performance of all assigned displays
  • Execute end-to-end installations, display builds, and refreshes, including fixturing, cabling, media players, and security components
  • Independently manage and complete ad-hoc service requests within 48-72-hour SLAs, where required
  • Ensure full compliance with planograms (POG), brand standards, and display requirements across all locations
  • Proactively identify root causes of recurring issues and implement sustainable solutions
  • Accurately document and report all service activity, outcomes, and insights on time
  • Perform merchandising tasks including inventory replenishment, POP placement, and pricing/fact tag execution
  • Manage and maintain/reconcile trunk stock inventory, ensuring appropriate replacement parts are available to support efficient service delivery and first-time fix success
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with in-store personnel as a trusted field expert
  • Participate in team calls, client interactions as required, and field ride-alongs to support program success
  • Complete administrative tasks with accuracy and timeliness, including scheduling and same-day reporting
  • Adapt to evolving business needs and take ownership of additional responsibilities as assigned 
  • Maintain compliance with all company safety policies, required training, certifications, and professional standards
What You'll Bring

Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with display installations, merchandising, and planogram execution
  • Experience using basic tools required to maintain displays
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving physical display issues, including lighting components, fixtures, and non-functioning buttons
  • Experience identifying and resolving electronic and connectivity issues, including cabling, power, and component integration

 

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with store personnel and internal teams
  • Ability to independently manage an assigned account base, prioritize workload, meet SLAs, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on root-cause identification and long-term resolution
  • Advanced troubleshooting, installation, and repair capabilities across hardware, displays, and connected systems
  • Must commit to completing the market area's minimum weekly or special project hours request
  • Able to read POG schematics and wiring diagrams and correctly connect components
  • Must be proficient using your personal Smartphone/Tablet with GPS functionality to upload photos, report assignment data, reference documents while in-store, and schedule visits
  • Ability to drive on behalf of the company in compliance with company guidelines, with access to reliable transportation
  • Must commit to complete the market area's minimum weekly or special project hours request
  • Must have a basic toolkit
    • A basic toolkit includes a multi-screwdriver, torx security bit set, hammer, cordless drill, allen wrench, box cutter, rubber mallet, socket set, needle nose pliers, precision wire cutters, crescent wrench, easy off, putty knife, microfiber cleaning cloth, and goo gone

Availability and Logistics

  • Travel up to 60 miles with paid drive time and mileage per company policy
  • Willingness and ability to travel for 2-3 days to participate in in-person training
  • Available to work 3-15 hours per week (Based on Market) Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work, if requested, with advanced notice
