Summary of Position: โ€ข Develop, execute, measure, and evaluate student data and produce accurate reporting and analysis to appropriate personnel for the Enrollment Services Unit, as well as, the University at large.
โ€ข This position utilizes Banner data to enhance existing processes and to create and refine reports germane to the University's vision and goals.
The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future.
Position Type: Staff
Required Education: โ€ข Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems or a related field.
Required Work Experience: โ€ข Two years of work experience with data development, analysis and reporting, or a combination of work experience and education/training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities may qualify.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: โ€ข Previous experience working with Banner, developing reports with current reporting platform, and/or working in a college/university environment.
โ€ข Work experience with student information systems, database software, and computer programming data.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: โ€ข Implement software changes in accordance with Information Services' system development methodology and security controls.
โ€ข Provide support for the development and coordination of reports across the areas of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, & Administration and Finance.
โ€ข Identify and recommend innovative solutions to complement and enhance processes and student services.
โ€ข Provide support and development for essential Financial Aid processes, including FAFSA data load, aid packaging and awarding, satisfactory academic progress, state award certification, and reimbursement as needed.
โ€ข Respond to ad-hoc requests to provide assistance in locating data to improve strategic decision-making.
โ€ข Develop reporting solutions to answer data requests made by various University departments that include current college statistics and metrics for measuring retention, completion, efficiency, and success.
โ€ข Assists with the University's responses to external data requests from governmental agencies and other associations, including state surveys, national surveys, accreditation and licensure requests, and other miscellaneous requests for information.
โ€ข Monitor and address issues with student data quality in cooperation with other technical staff in Enrollment Services and across the University.
โ€ข Achieve a working knowledge of assigned administrative applications, including functional, technical, and end-user processes.
โ€ข Prepare relevant documentation and reports to support information technology planning and implementation.
โ€ข Collect and analyze information, provide research support for use in management decision making that includes the University's Strategic Plan.
โ€ข Develop and support data visualization solutions to support University planning and decision making.
โ€ข Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty and staff to thrive authentically.
โ€ข Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.
โ€ข Represent the University at state and national meetings as needed.
โ€ข Carries out these responsibilities in accordance with University policies and applicable laws.
โ€ข Reports directly to the Director of Institutional Research and Testing.
โ€ข Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of designated information.
โ€ข Attend various conferences and seminars relating to enrollment and student system management and the integration of technology.
โ€ข Supervise student support staff as needed.
โ€ข Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities:
Skills and Abilities: โ€ข Expertise in programming using higher level languages such as SQL.
โ€ข Knowledge and use of a variety of software programs including, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
* Demonstrated successful experience working directly with people from diverse backgrounds, including cultural, educational, socioeconomic and life experiences.
โ€ข Knowledge and use of databases and querying.
โ€ข Knowledge of basic statistical concepts.
โ€ข Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
โ€ข Work independently and as part of a team.
โ€ข Work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
