Description

Are you organized, reliable, enthusiastic and personable? Do you like working with people with a focus of making their visit the most enjoyable possible? If so, the Greendale Family Branch YMCA is looking for you to join our team.


Under the supervision of the Senior Membership Experience Director the Building Supervisor will have excellent interpersonal/ human relations skills, including the ability to establish and maintain a positive work environment with staff, volunteers, and members and the ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner.


Essential Functions:

  • Fully knowledgeable of the daily building functions and program operations. Builds effective, authentic relationships with members and staff; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA.
  • Conveys information on all programs and schedules and as appropriate, refers members to other programs. Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
  • Organizes and puts away needed class equipment. Reports damaged equipment immediately to immediate supervisor using predetermined reporting method.
  • High level of understanding and the ability to operate the various areas of building security and overall building functionality.
  • Responsible for the safety of staff, members and guests of the YMCA to assure that all YMCA rules, policies and procedures are understood and followed
  • Other tasks may be assigned by the Senior Membership Experience Director.


Qualifications:

  • Specialized, Technical or Practical Know How
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • At least one-year experience in customer service.
  • Must have strong organizational, computer and communication skills.
  • Must be very organized and be able to create systems for smooth branch operations. YMCA experience preferred.
  • Human Relations Skills: Strong human relation skills including the ability to establish and maintain a positive work environment with other staff, volunteers and the members.


Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Looking to fill following shifts: Saturdays from 6:45am-7:15pm and Sundays from 7:45am-5:15pm. Please let us know your availability!

Pay: $18.00 per hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave
