Position Highlights

Future Development - Long Term Care Center:

The Department of Veterans Affairs is currently building a Spinal Cord Injury & Disorders Long-Term Care Center at the Dallas Campus of the VA North Texas Health Care System.  This multi-year project includes construction of a new 30 bed SCI/D Long Term Care Center with space for an additional 30 beds for future growth and will be the first center of its kind in the region.  The new SCI/D Long Term Care Center will empower and enable Veterans with SCI/D to enjoy comprehensive primary, sustaining and specialty care in a community atmosphere. 

Location: Dallas, TX – A thriving metro with world-class amenities, dining, and culture
Schedule: Monday–Friday (flexible hours) + on-call responsibilities
Practice Setting: Inpatient & outpatient SCI/D care, interdisciplinary collaboration

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for Veterans with SCI/D
  • Perform procedures (joint injections, wound care, osteopathic manipulation, etc.)
  • Lead an interdisciplinary team (PM&R, PT/OT, psychology, social work, and more)
  • Utilize cutting-edge EMR systems
  • Engage in teaching, research, and professional development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certified/Eligible in PM&R & SCI Medicine
  • Completed PM&R residency + SCI Fellowship
  • Experience in acute/subacute rehab & outpatient procedures
  • Passion for Veteran-centered care
