Job description

Long Island Speech is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and organized part-time paid interns to join our Stony Brook office. This is an excellent opportunity for students and individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional healthcare environment while developing valuable administrative, communication, organizational, and workplace skills.
Our interns work alongside multiple departments and gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a busy speech therapy practice. We offer a supportive team environment, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to learn and grow within the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily office operations, including sorting and distributing mail, filing, scanning, copying, and shredding documents.
  • Support the marketing team with promotional initiatives, materials, and research for upcoming events.
  • Assist the billing department with medical postings, data entry, and other administrative tasks.
  • Provide general administrative support to various departments as needed.
  • Help ensure the office remains organized, efficient, and welcoming for patients, families, and staff.
  • Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
