Job description

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain complete and current medical records regarding all people served in EHR/Charts.
  • Provide medical/somatic services, pharmacologic management services, case management, witness urine screens and monitor OARRS reports as clinically indicated; update treatment plans as clinically indicated.
  • In collaboration with the team, ensure a comprehensive health history is obtained, and appropriate referrals are made, as needed, for further assessment and treatment.
  • Assist persons served, family members of persons served and other staff regarding MAR education.
  • Manage client wait list for MAR; manage the Provider’s MAR list for DEA requirements.
  • Destruction of medications by DEA and Board of Pharmacy Regulations
  • Coordinate with the Board of Health regarding immunizations
  • Ensure that Clients are seen by the Psychiatric Provider and PCP per RTC regulations.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities for clients receiving medication and for staff call-offs
  • Assist in managing the psychiatric monitoring list.
  • Assist in monitoring medical compliance on site and training of staff in medication monitoring at inpatient treatment facilities and recovery housing.
  • In collaboration with supervisor and organization human resources, assist in developing and monitoring performance improvement plans of assigned nursing staff.
  • Supervise nursing staff at assigned location(s).
  • Manages the timekeeping and payroll system for assigned staff.
  • Completes agency approved trauma informed procedures training
  • Perform duties in accordance with applicable professional ethics and standards and established organizational policies.
  • Comply with all state and federal laws regarding protected health information.
  • Complete annual Medication pass review with nursing staff.
  • All other duties assigned

Performance Requirements:

  • Must be able to operate a computer and other position related technologies
  • Must be able to verbally exchange information in a confidential manner with employees, clients, students, participants, and/or families in various settings
  • Must be available for crisis management by phone as needed
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed
  • Must be able to clearly and confidentially communicate with OhioGuidestone employees, clients, students, participants, and other stakeholders Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must be able to access work locations and, as necessary, homes which may include ascending/descending stairs
  • Must be able to stoop, stand, walk, bend, and stay upright to perform work
  • Must be able to visually read written and digital information
  • Must be able to visually determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned and/or to make general observations of facilities or structures
  • Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication
  • Must be able to hear clients, students, or participants, co-workers, and supervisors at normal speaking levels
  • Must be able to dictate with clients, students, participants, co-workers, and supervisors using all means of communication including but not limited to, in-person, phone, and computer
  • Must be able to run and/or chase as needed
  • Must be able to type case files and other paperwork
  • Must be able to frequently drive to varying work environments including agency office, school based, community based including client homes in various communities
  • Must be able to lift children and infants of varying weights
  • When necessary, must be able to restrain clients of various heights with weights varying up to 300 pounds

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN or LPN State of OH Nursing license required
  • Five years of Nursing experience in a psychiatric or substance use setting
  • Ability to take and pass a physical examination, TB test and drug screening
