What is the 20 rule for solar panels?

The 20 rule for solar panels refers to the guideline that solar panels should be installed with at least 20 inches of clearance from obstructions to ensure optimal performance and airflow. In manufacturing, it emphasizes maintaining proper spacing and alignment during assembly to maximize efficiency and safety. Understanding such standards is important for part-time manufacturing roles focused on quality control and assembly accuracy.

What is the 120% rule for solar?

The 120% rule in solar refers to a guideline used in some jurisdictions where the combined capacity of solar panels installed on a property should not exceed 120% of the property's annual electricity consumption. For solar panel manufacturing jobs, understanding local regulations like this helps ensure compliance during system design and installation, especially when working with system sizing and permitting. Knowledge of electrical codes and energy policies is important in this field.
