Job description

Unit Clerk, Part time
Normal Work Hours/Days: 3:00 pm - 11:30 p.m. Saturday & Sunday (Every Other Weekend)
Location: Crisis Care Center
The Crisis Care Center is designed to provide crisis stabilization to individuals experiencing a behavioral health and/or substance use crisis and reduce pressure on law enforcement and local emergency departments. Once the crisis has been resolved and the individual has been stabilized, they will be linked with a community mental health provider for on-going services. This position provides assistance to staff as necessary to ensure that daily facility operations are functioning smoothly. It involves the performance of day-to-day operations related to administrative duties, reporting, auditing, and food distribution at the Crisis Care Center.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist with front desk when needed by answering the phone, complete point of entry in Avatar to ensure accurate processing of individuals receiving services
Create reports and track data as needed and or required for the Crisis Care Center departments
Work with a variety of internal and external customers
Responsible for assisting with food services for consumers at the Crisis Care Center including rotation of all food items/ingredients in inventory to prevent waste
Responsible for safe, proper, and efficient use of all kitchen equipment
Oversee the delivery and or picking up of meals daily including distributing food and snacks for consumers
Coordinate with Crisis Operation Manager to determine the proper quantities of meals required at the Crisis Care Center daily to meet consumer needs and prevent waste including identifying special diet request once approved by medical staff
Responsible for reporting any maintenance of equipment and ensuring equipment is serviced on a regular basis and in good/safe working order
Stock and monitor supplies (beddings, scrubs, socks, towels, stationery, snacks etc.) and report when there are shortages
Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible
Review/maintain daily census logs to ensure accuracy and completion (Temporary Observation and Extended Observation)
Compete follow-up data and documents required for all individuals discharged from the Crisis Care Center
Assist management team with collecting data, reports, state reports, administrative duties and special project s as needed
Perform other office duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or GED certificate
Preferred one (1) year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient/outpatient and/or hospital setting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
General knowledge of commercial kitchen operations
Must be able to function under limited supervision
Exhibit proper personal grooming and dress appropriately
Working knowledge of office devices and processes
Excellent communication skills
Very good organizational and multitasking abilities
Trained in or willing to be trained in crisis intervention, specifically Therapeutic Options
