Portland Community College is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments in Sociology. The Department will review applications in this pool as the need arises for new part-time faculty in this area.
This is NOT an announcement of a specific open position, but a Part-time Faculty Interest Pool, from which the department will identify applicants based on course assignment needs during the Academic Year. Instructor Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Sociology or a sub-discipline of Sociology (i.e. Demography, Urban Studies, Criminology, Gerontology, Peace Studies, Womens' Studies).

  • At least 32 hours of graduate-level course work in Sociology (with not more than half in research methods)

Note:Social Work and other social science disciplines, such as Anthropology, Psychology, or Political Science, are not considered sub-disciplines of Sociology.
