Job description

Position Summary
Part-time social work position (20 hours) needed to provide a range of clinical social work services to children and families in the Center for Airway Disorders (CAD) program at the main Boston location and possibly at the Waltham satellite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing psychosocial assessments and developing interventions and treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary CAD team during outpatient clinics.
  • Providing social work support to patients and families who are managing new and/or chronic conditions, addressing the emotional impact and connecting families to resources through the hospital or in their communities as needed.
  • Providing supportive documentation (such as school letters, letters of medical necessity, etc.) in collaboration with the team, as needed.
  • As this is a new position, programmatic development will be encouraged.
  • Participation in standing program meetings and weekly rounds will be encouraged.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • A master's degree in social work is required.
Experience:
  • Minimum of two plus years of previous social work experience required; exposure within a medical setting preferred.
  • Flexibility and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are expected.
Licensure/Certifications:
  • LICSW licensure required, in the state of Massachusetts.

Schedule is 8 hour days on Tuesday, Thursday. Half day Wednesday.

The posted pay range is Boston Childrenโ€™s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
