Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Contract Opportunity

Terrell, TX | Part-Time | 3+ Month Assignment | Immediate Start Available

Protouch Staffing is seeking a compassionate and experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a rewarding contract opportunity at a specialized behavioral health facility in Terrell, Texas. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by helping patients improve communication abilities and swallowing function while working alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Position Highlights
  • Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (flexible scheduling available)

  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Assignment Length: Minimum 3 months with strong potential for extension

  • Position Type: Part-Time Pay: $61/hr

  • Start Date: As soon as all credentialing and compliance requirements are completed

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with communication and dysphagia disorders.

  • Perform ongoing reassessments and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and physician recommendations.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes.

  • Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes accurately and within required timeframes.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and strategies to improve functional communication and safe swallowing.

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with applicable healthcare standards and best practices.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.

  • Current, unrestricted Texas Speech Language Pathologist license.

  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification.

  • Strong knowledge of dysphagia assessment and treatment techniques.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with patients experiencing behavioral health and complex medical conditions.
