Job description

Jones Telepractice Agency, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality speech and language services to students in a school-based setting. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication disorders while collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' academic success and overall communication development.
 
We have a 2 full time SLP positions at Our World Neighborhood Charter School 2 in Howard Beach, NY.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and small-group settings.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluation reports, progress notes, Medicaid documentation (if applicable), and service logs.
Develop measurable IEP goals and objectives.
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, and parents to support student success.
Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding communication strategies and classroom accommodations.
Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, district, and agency regulations, including IDEA, FERPA, and HIPAA.
Complete all required documentation within established timelines.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
Current state Speech-Language Pathologist license.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred (CFY candidates may be considered where applicable).
Current state Department of Education certification (if required).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications
School-based experience preferred.
Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech sound disorders, language disorders, fluency disorders, voice disorders, and AAC devices.
Experience with teletherapy platforms is a plus.
Knowledge of special education laws and IEP processes.
Ability to use computers, tablets, and other technology for documentation and service delivery.
