Job description

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues promptly.
  • Assist with new machine installs, relocations, removals, and other slot projects.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements for each slot machine.
  • Conduct thorough testing of slot machines to assess all functions, promptly identifying and addressing malfunctions by skillfully replacing or repairing nonfunctional equipment, ensuring continuous operational excellence.
  • Maintain security of keys and company assets.
  • Always maintain positive guest relations, resolving guest concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and software.
  • Keeps current on new repair techniques and products to aid in training efforts.
  • Takes initiative to resolve issues and escalates, as necessary.
  • Follow Casino policy and procedure for equipment operations and repair.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated strength of teamwork, interpersonal relations/guest service skills.
  • Must maintain a strict level of confidentiality and act in a manner consistent with all legal and regulatory requirements and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • The person in this role frequently communicates with others that may have questions, they must be able to effectively exchange accurate information in both written and oral form.
  • Proficiency in using computers and electronic devices. Must have the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED (required)

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, and maintain Pauma Gaming Commission License.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Frequently moves equipment and machines that weigh up to 60lbs.
  • This role will require constant movement throughout the property.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to detect items that are in proximity and traveling from a distance.
  • Constantly positions self to perform inspections, machine moves and repair work. The work performed may include the need for wrist movement, bending, lifting, kneeling/crouching, balancing and ability to ascend/descend ladders.
  • Will be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to the public.
  • Close spaces while working with others.
