Job description

Position Overview:

The Slot Attendant is responsible to provide outstanding customer service.  Slot Attendants will accomplish this service standard by timely responding to customer needs including but not limited to, hand pay jackpots, minor machine repairs and replenishing ticket voucher paper. All duties are to be performed according to the policies and procedures of the mount Airy Casino Resort and the regulations of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintains a constant presence on the slot floor looking for and responding to guests that require assistance with slot machines.
  • Provides courteous and helpful information to guests and to their complaints in a considerate, professional and positive manner.  Shows genuine concern, actively listens to the guest and takes ownership of their concerns.
  • Completes manual jackpot payouts.
  • Refills ticket printers with voucher paper.
  • Makes minor repairs on slot machines.
  • Maintains security of keys, radio and pagers issued to them.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.  Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
  • Shall act as signatory on jackpots as detailed the internal controls.
  • Creates player cards.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Attends all necessary training meetings.
  • Assists in other projects as directed.
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High School Diploma is required
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the employees throughout all levels of the Mount Airy Casino Resort.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid license as required by the PA Gaming Control Board.
  • Must have ability to deal affectively and interact well with customers and employees.
  • Must demonstrate leadership, fairness and sensibility to the customers and employees.

Other Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required with occasional travel.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
