Job Description

Responsibilities of a Part-Time Slot Technology Instructor include but are not limited to:

  • Lecture and/or lab instruction for Slot Technology courses, including slot machine systems, electronics, and troubleshooting

  • Demonstrate and assist students with hands-on lab procedures related to slot machines and electronic gaming equipment, ensuring adherence to all safety precautions

  • Develop syllabi and course materials; instruct students in accordance with established curriculum standards, industry practices, and program objectives

  • Independently evaluate student mastery of technical skills and competencies aligned with course outcomes; implement strategies to support student learning needs

  • Provide advisement to students regarding academic progression and career pathways within the gaming and electronics industry

  • Maintain and support laboratory equipment, including slot machines and associated electronic systems, to ensure effective instructional delivery

  • Attend staff meetings and participate in recruitment and outreach activities as requested

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of work-related experienceOR Applied Science degree in Engineering Technologies or equivalent degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University

  • 1-year full time teaching experience

  • Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce

  • Knowledge of computer classroom technologies

  • Knowledge of Canvas or other Learning Management Systems

Schedule

Engineering Technology courses are taught at North Las Vegas, Henderson and Western Campuses, in-person/ online and are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends

Salary Information

$925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
