As aCarpenterat Six Flags Fiesta Texas, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our park's structures and attractions. Your responsibilities will include repairing and inspecting wooden roller coasters, building and installing catwalks, fencing, cabinetry, and custom woodwork. You'll remodel offices and facilities, repair roofs and flooring, install hardware, ceramic tile, and drop ceilings, and pour concrete. Safety is key, with daily inspections and pre-opening safety checks across the park. This hands-on role requires the operation of various tools and equipment to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. Other duties as assigned by the Carpentry Shop.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Perform daily inspections, repairs, and maintenance on our iconic wooden roller coasters to keep the thrills running smoothly.
  • Install catwalks, fencing, woodwork, and hardware for park rides, ensuring guest and employee safety.
  • Remodel offices, buildings, and facilities—crafting custom cabinetry, building shelving, installing flooring, hanging doors, and more.
  • Design and build unique furniture and cabinets from blueprints or creative concepts.
  • Cut and install glass, countertops, queue lines, and other park essentials.
  • Install and repair ceramic tiles, patch holes, and winterize buildings to keep everything in top shape.
  • Repair roofs, gutters, and drop ceilings with precision and efficiency.
  • Pour concrete for structures and repairs, showcasing your craftsmanship.
  • Conduct pre-opening safety checks on rides and facilities, keeping safety a top priority.
  • Operate a variety of tools and equipment, bringing versatility to every task.
  • Support the park with additional carpentry and maintenance projects as needed.

  • A valid State Driver’s License and at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of 1 year of carpentry experience
  • Comfort working in all-weather conditions—sun, heat, cold, rain—and at heights up to 200 feet
  • A strong sense of teamwork paired with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to maintain clear, written records of work completed
  • Willingness to respond to radio calls promptly and professionally
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Your own set of reliable hand tools
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings, with overtime as needed
